Bit of a strange question, anyone happen to know if the Steam version of Heavensward is technically just the access codes or is it somehow linked to the base client as DLC?Reason being I have an SE account but use Steam as a launcher. I'm assuming the base client is the same regardless of the account type and I should be able to continue to do the same as long as I have the Heavensward codes applied, though the worry is there.I'm downloading the expansion twice because I originally owned the client before the Steam version came out. Luckily as long as you bought it on your original account you'll be able to access it through Steam and upgrade without any hassle as well. : Having it installed in advance for when I CAN play? If I'm installing updates it means I'm probably going to play again at some point.

Call of chernobyl warfare. I don't know why they would want to make that any harder. It's more pronounced right now, since I have to install a big ol' expansion and I would rather not waste time tomorrow doing that when I could be playing and seeing all the cool new stuff. But it also holds true when they release new patches. If they would let me I would install them when they were released, even if I weren't subbed at the time, just so I'd be ready. Or even just the night before I was planning to resub. It comes down to the simple fact that once I pay money for a subscription I want to play the game, not waste time waiting for stuff to install. That's why pre-loads exist.
Hi.I have FFXIV for both PC and PS3, I took a break from the game several months ago and have just come back. However in the meantime I uninstalled it from my PS3 to free up space for other games. Now I want to reinstall it, however I cannot find my disc anywhere.
I've read posts on other sites that I should be able to download it again from PSN, however for every version of the game that I can see on PSN, it's showing that I haven't bought it, even though my transaction history shows that I have registered the code to my PSN.Is it possible for me to download it from PSN if I didn't buy it digitally? Thanks. Yeah, I checked. It's not listed. I installed the game initially from the disc, but now I can't find it. That is one of the posts that I read, and as far as I remember you're meant to get a digital copy of the game as well as basically all it is is the client, what you pay for is the license. In my account management on my PS3 it shows in my Transaction History/Services and says that I have entitlement to FFXIV, but nowhere on PSN can I download it.I guess I'll need to contact Sony to get this sorted.
