You can not add items to this menu by putting your own shortcuts in here. If you figure out how please let me know via the comments as this would be a nice customization feature. I already had the ‘WinX’ folder present with everything in it but I still cannot right-click on the “Start” button nor can I right-click on the “File Explorer” icon in my taskbar. Every other icon in the taskbar works properly. I also get NOTHING when I use “Windows + X” key combination.I am using a laptop with a touchscreen running Windows 8.1.

I also have Eset Nod32 installed/running. I booted the computer into safe mode and still cannot right-click either the Start button nor the File Explorer icon.Please help!
