So, the more technology advances, the less I seem to know. (Just as a nice little preface, there.)However, I still enjoy gaming, and would love to purchase Fallout 3 (GOTY edition) for my new Dell Inspiron, which is running on Windows 8. Fallout 3 GOTY edition specifies it's for Vista/XP, and I've seen a few questions on here regarding its compatibilitywith Windows 7, but so far, nothing on 8. Does anyone happen to know if that game will work on Windows 8? I'd like to find out before actually buying the game, as I'd have no other way to play it, except on this new laptop.Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I have Fallout 3 GOTY edition from Steam and it runs perfectly. The textures look better, and the bloom is not anywhere near as much of a problem as it is in Winders. The only other fixes needed for a base working game are to add mouse acceleration and multi-core fixes to FALLOUT.INI (again, also necessary on Windows) and to set. The main plot of Fallout 3 free download is set in 2277, 36 years after the events of Fallout 2 video game.
